Healthy Chocolate Truffles

A very simplistic dessert to make! Only 4 ingredients needed, and they taste damn delicious. Soft when you bite into it, and then the chocolate taste sort of just melts in your mouth.

The best thing about these? They’re healthy AND match the Christmas atmosphere that has been slowly creeping upon us.

Just food process the dates with the water and honey (or agave syrup for vegans). I actually had to use dried dates, but it still works (add more water to compensate)! Then add the cocoa powder and mix it in. Using your hands, form tiny balls, then roll them in cocoa powder or shredded coconut.

Put them on a nice plate and refrigerate for an hour before serving.

The healthiest, easiest, and only 5 ingredients dessert just in time for the holidays.

15 pitted dates (dried works too, just add more water)
3 tsp. water (add more if needed)
3 tbsp. agave syrup or honey
2-3 tbsp. cocoa powder
1/8 cup shredded coconut or more cocoa powder

  1. In a food processor, blend the dates, water, and agave syrup or honey together. It should resemble a paste. Add the cocoa powder and mix until incorporated.
  2. Using your hands, form around 10 balls and roll them into the shredded coconut or cocoa powder to coat.
  3. Refrigerate for an hour before eating. Enjoy!
